16 Inch Laptops

16" Laptops are an interesting option that sit in the middle between gamers, business people and home users! They're a newer size, they haven't been on the market nearly as long as 15.6" or 17.3" laptops. Often available in very high resolution screens, with the more modern 16:10 aspect ratios that lend themselves to web browsing especially.

16" Portability Magic

One of our favourite things about 16" laptops is that they are actually just about the same size as 15" laptops. Often, they come with ultra narrow bezel screens, so despite the laptop being the same size, you can fit more screen in. This means that a lot (but not all of) 16" laptops fit into 15.6" laptop sleeves. Plus, without taking up any more room, you actually get a bigger screen. It's a win-win all around.

Why Should you Buy a 16-Inch Laptop?

A 16-inch laptop gives you approx. 10% more screen space compared to a 15-inch laptop, providing more room for multitasking, viewing, and working on detailed projects. Despite the larger display, the actual body of the machine is often the same size or in extreme cases, smaller than a 15.6" laptop.

Are 16-inch laptops good for gaming?

Yes! Many 16-inch laptops, such as the ROG Zephyrus G16, are built specifically for gaming. With high-refresh-rate displays, powerful GPUs, and slim designs, they provide a fantastic gaming experience while remaining portable enough for on-the-go gaming.

What is the advantage of a 16:10 aspect ratio in a 16-inch laptop?

A 16:10 aspect ratio provides more vertical space, which is especially useful for tasks like video editing, browsing, and gaming. It allows you to view more content without scrolling as much, making it perfect for creators and professionals who need extra screen real estate. Especially considering that more and more content is being created in a portrait orientation thanks to the meteoric rise in mobile phone use.

Are 16-inch laptops suitable for content creators?

Some 16" laptops are designed specifically for creators, offering high-resolution displays with accurate color reproduction. There are hundreds of 16" Laptops that are just perfect for content creation. The 16:10 aspect ratio it's just easier to work with on a 16 inch machine for most people.
